~Personal Knowledge Management~

In this week, I have learnt about Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) which is something new to me. It is a phase that will benefit you to explore and make sense of ICTs and Pedagogy in a way that is explicit to you and your desires.

According to Harold Jarche, PKM is defined “as a set of processes, individually constructed, to help each of us make sense of our world & work more effectively”. The three main parts of PKM are seek, sense and share. This can be used as a studying tool in this course to gain more knowledge and ideas that is beneficial during the professional experience and teaching.

According to Steve Dale, PKM “is about taking responsibility for your own personal and professional development”. In conclusion and from my understanding, PKM is staying connected in the network era and taking control of our own professional development.

Here is a video clip I would share on Personal Knowledge Management.
